Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all apps and services developed and distributed by Insiders Digital Pty Ltd (ACN 698 801 151), including Dark Verdict. By using our apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate our apps:

• Game progress data — your current streak, rank, solved cases, and accusation history. This data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is not transmitted to our servers unless you are a registered user with cloud sync enabled.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe to Dark Verdict Pro, purchase transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store your payment details. Subscription status is verified through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.
• Device identifiers — anonymous device identifiers may be used by RevenueCat to manage your subscription across reinstalls. No personally identifiable information is linked to these identifiers.
• Crash and diagnostic data — if you opt in to sharing analytics with Apple or Google, basic crash reports may be shared with us through their developer platforms to help us fix bugs.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or sell:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information (unless you contact us directly for support)
• Your location data
• Your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
• Any data for advertising or marketing profiling purposes

3. Third-Party Services

Our apps use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — app distribution and payment processing.
• OpenAI / AI providers — used server-side to generate daily mystery cases. No personal user data is sent to AI providers. Only the date and mystery type are used as generation inputs.

4. Data Retention

Game progress data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete the app. If you contact us for support, any correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to resolve your issue.

5. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights (EU / GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by simply deleting the app from your device. For any other requests, contact us at hello@insidersdigital.com.au.

7. Your Rights (Australia / Privacy Act 1988)

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. You may request access to or correction of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us directly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
